We enjoyed Split but spent our day making our way to Pula. Traffic was slow and for some reason gas stations on the highway require that you pay inside after you fill up, and that wasn't making sense to most of the folks ahead of us in line. I think we were at the gas station for about 45 minutes!
The drive included many tunnels -- MANY TUNNELS -- several more than a few miles long.
We made it, though, and Pula is lovely and intriguing. It is a nice mix of small city and ancient ruins with a working harbor.
